President-Elect

Description and Responsibilities

The President-Elect’s term shall run concurrent with the President’s term, and the President-Elect may serve up to two consecutive one-year terms. The President-Elect shall assume the duties of the President in the absence or incapacity of that officer. The President-Elect shall automatically become the President at the end of the President’s term. Eligible candidates for the office of President-Elect are any active members who served on the board.

A Typical Year for TICA Board Members

  • 3-4 times per year - Board meetings via Microsoft Teams (typically 2 hours)
  • 1-2 times per year - In-person Board meetings (typically in Spring and Fall,  in conjunction with the Ice Cream Summit)
  • 4-6 times per year - Executive Committee calls via Microsoft Teams (Executive positions only - President, President-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer, Immediate Past President, Industry Liaison. Division leads optional.)
  • Participate in e-mail correspondence
  • Work on assigned action items and projects
