President-Elect

Description and Responsibilities

The President Elect’s term shall run concurrent with the President’s term, and the President-Elect may serve up to two consecutive one-year terms. The President-Elect shall assume the duties of the President in the absence or incapacity of that officer. The President Elect shall automatically become the President at the end of the President’s term. Eligible candidates for the office of President-Elect are any active members who served on the board.

A Typical Year for TICA Board Members

  • 3-4 times per year - Board meetings via Zoom video conference (typically 2 hours)
  • 1-2 times per year - In-person Board meetings (typically in Spring and Fall,  in conjunction with the Annual Convention)
  • 4-6 times per year - Executive Committee calls via Zoom video conference (Executive positions only - President, President-Elect, Secretary-Treasurer, and Immediate Past President. Division leads optional.)
  • Participate in e-mail correspondence
  • Work on assigned action items and projects
